With over 30 years of experience in management and human resources, Beverly Widger, affectionately known as Bev, is a seasoned HR consultant dedicated to providing tailored solutions to small and medium-sized businesses and non-profits in New Hampshire and Vermont. Having retired as the Chief Human Resource Officer from Mascoma Bank in 2019, Bev's expertise has been instrumental in fostering award-winning HR practices, innovative benefits, and an inclusive workplace culture.

Throughout her career, Bev has successfully served a diverse range of industries, including banking, accounting, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and library services. With experience as a classroom teacher, she possesses a unique perspective that blends both education and business acumen.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Bev is deeply committed to giving back to her community. She has served on several non-profit boards, such as Leadership New Hampshire, Career CLiC , Sullivan County United Way, River Valley Human Resource Association, and SHRM Vermont State Council, among others. Currently, she actively contributes to the Plainfield Historical Society and provides programming support for the Employer Resource Group in the Springfield, Vermont area.

Bev's recent consulting and recruiting assignments have involved working with prominent organizations such as Senior Solutions Council on Aging Southeast Vermont, Early Care & Education Association of the Upper Valley, North Branch Nature Center, and Mascoma Bank. As a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Bev's expertise is backed by rigorous certifications and previously being recognized as one of New Hampshire’s HR Heroes. Additionally, she is certified in the Predictive Index, further enhancing her ability to understand and leverage the power of people analytics.

Bev holds a bachelor's degree in education from Plymouth State University. In her free time, she indulges her passion for local history, the Cornish Art Colony and Maxfield Parrish Stage Set while actively volunteering for various non-profits and town committees in Plainfield, New Hampshire. In 2023, she was awarded the Steve Taylor Award for Community Service. Researching her family roots, keeping abreast of the latest technologies, reading, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren in Washington, DC, are among her favorite pastimes.
